The Dean’s Conference Room (DCR)Cowgill Hall, Room 204 — is a Zoom-capable conference room. Its camera, microphone, display, and an iPad Zoom controller are permanently installed, so you can run a meeting from the room without a laptop.

  1. Turn on the TV with the power button on the set or the remote.
  2. Select the right input. Use the remote, or touch the TV, and choose “HDMI1 — Video Conference.”
  3. Check the microphone. The silver, pill-shaped mic sits in the center of the table — make sure its USB cable is plugged into the port under the table.

Use the iPad Zoom controller on the table:

  • Room was booked for you? Once the TV is on the Video Conference input, tap Start on the controller — your meeting is waiting.
  • Meeting on your own account? Tap Join, then type the Meeting ID and confirm.
  • When you’re done, tap End meeting on the controller so the room is free for the next person.

Scheduling for the DCR is arranged through the Dean’s office.

To present during a meeting from a laptop or tablet:

  1. Note the Meeting ID shown on the room display.
  2. On your device, open zoom.us/share (or the Zoom app’s Share option).
  3. Enter the Meeting ID and choose Share — your screen appears in the meeting.
